Des Browne in Crosshouse Hospital Abseil
On Sunday Des Browne MP abseiled down Crosshouse Hospital to help raise awareness about the Anthony Nolan Trust.
It is not the first time the Kilmarnock and Loudoun MP has participated in this event. As a supporter of the work done by the Trust Des Browne was happy to participate in the abseil along with others who attended.
Des said:
The work done by the Trust since its creation in 1971 has helped thousands who have suffered of leukemia. Indeed in last year alone it gave 512 children and adults a new chance on life. I am happy and proud to able to take part in this event once again.
The Trust works to bring people together to help those fighting leukemia by striving to provide a better chance of a successful bone marrow transplant. It does this through research and by creating the UK’s most successful bone marrow donor register.
Des added:
I would encourage any of my constituents who think they would like to help the Trust in their efforts or simply find out more about its work to visit www.anthonynolan.org.uk. |
